Have you heard of the extra-curricular activities yet?

To be short and simple: this is the more interesting and entertaining part of the secondary school. There is a compulsory part, where the students take part in various activities only once a year. Once a year they go on an excursion (-field trip) to different regions of Slovenia. Once year (Unfortunately, only once.) they take exercise in one-day sports activities. Once a year they go to the cinema, theatre, concert, or an art exhibition.
What about the optional parts of the activities? These are, among others, the school clubs, excursions in Slovenia and abroad, various courses, workshops, surveys, school (sports and cheerleading) teams, and the school newspaper.

CLUBS, WORKSHOPS
There are the debate club and the volunteers' club, the school choir, the chess club, the club of mountain -hikers for those who love mountains. Moreover, there is the drama club for cultural enthusiasts, you can join the photography club, or make trinkets in the art club.
If you know how to handle money, that is, save a little, you can afford an excursion to the neighbouring countries. The most popular and frequent are excursions to Italy. Venice, Trieste, Padoa, Florence, all the way to Rome and Naples - these are the places our students see (provided there is enough interest for individual excursions).
Students that like sports can take part in Saturday skiing trips, or go tobogganing at night. Non-swimmers learn to swim in the swimming school.
'Kulturnica' is a three-day tour of Ljubljana, where you get to know the capital's sights and occasionally stop to have a doughnut or a piece of pie, and taste Mexican cuisine.
Efficient learning skills, self-conception, the art of human relations are the workshops in which the students do a lot of talking and debating. At the same time they learn the skills which are essential for their life and work.
The rhetoric club, the art workshops 'Body and Movement', and 'I See, I Hear, I Feel', additional touch-typing classes, research on aspirations and values of youngsters, surveys and interviews within the international project
Comenius.
Further information on extra-curricular activities can be found in a special school bulletin.
